What are Trees of Grace?

There are so many ways to make a positive impact on the youth in our community, from volunteering your time as a mentor, donating funds and resources, earnestly praying, spreading the word to others about the great need that exists in North Idaho and so much more. JJO’s Trees of Grace program is all about helping the citizens of Kootenai County and beyond make that positive impact by providing everyday opportunities to do each of the selfless acts listed above. By providing a gracious hand in this way we can ‘bind up the brokenhearted’, ‘proclaim freedom for the captives’, ‘release from darkness for the prisoners’, and ‘comfort those who mourn’ (Isaiah 61).

Our youth need prayer, scholarships for vital programs like Equine Therapy, First Tee, counseling, substance abuse treatment, and more. They need clothing for school and the harsh winters. They need someone to teach them how to build a resume, or hunt, fish and other hobbies. Their parents need help with groceries, transportation and learning the skills they need to raise their kids. They need connections to other valuable programs and services in our area.

The list goes on, and JJO is committed to working hard to see all these needs get met, but we can’t do it alone! You’ll begin finding JJO Trees of Grace out in our community, which will then direct you to a list on our website with specific needs our at-risk youth are experiencing right here and now that you can help with immediately if you so choose. You’ll see requests for prayer, item donation requests, funding for programs and other needs, opportunities to volunteer and much more. What a difference we could make if we partnered together for the good of those in need in our community!
