Description
This scholarship will allow an at-risk youth to participate in this program who otherwise would not have been able to due to the financial hurdles. Youth who have experienced serious trauma and have social, emotional and mental issues have all had great success going through this program where they learn first learn to care for the animal before learning how to ride.
Through their work with the horse and the therapists on site, the youth learns valuable skills and character traits while overcoming the issues that brought them to Hope Reins in the first place. Equine Therapy is a great alternative to talk-therapy.
